  9.  ICOM INTRODUCES THE NEW IC-R72 HF COMMUNICATIONS RECEIVER

  13.  ICOM's expertise in designing and producing advanced communica-
  14.  tions receivers continues to grow with the IC-R72.  The worldwide
  15.  acclaim given to the IC-R71A sets precedence for the IC-R72.

  17.  *     Compact .  Measuring only 9.5"W x 3.7"H x 9.0"D the IC-R72 is
  18.  compact and loaded with the most asked for features.
  19.  
  20.  *     All Mode .  The IC-R72 continuously covers 100kHz-30MHz in
  21.  SSB, AM and CW modes with high sensitivity.  FM mode receiving is
  22.  also available by adding an optional UI-8 FM Receiver Unit.

  24.  *     100 dB Dynamic Range .   The IC-R72 boasts 100 dB dynamic
  25.  range of superior receiver circuits.  Receive a desired station's
  26.  signal clearly even through strong signals from nearby broadcast-
  27.  ing stations.

  29.  *     DDS System .  The PLL circuits in the IC-R72 are equipped
  30.  with ICOM's advanced DDS system for very fast lockup times.  The
  31.  same system that has made the state-of-the-art IC-781 and IC-
  32.  R9000 so popular with serious operators everywhere.

  34.  *     101 Memory Channels .  The IC-R72 is equipped with 99 con-
  35.  venient memory channels, plus 2 independent scan edge memory
  36.  channels.  Operating frequency and mode can be stored into any
  37.  memory channel.

  39.  Other convenient features of the IC-R72 include the built-in RF
  40.  attenuator and preamplifier, a noise blanker, ICOM's CI-V system,
  41.  built-in clock with timer function plus multiple scan functions.
